For the second installment of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation's Partners in Progress series, Frontline and a Arkansas-based researcher were asked to write this report about an enduring partnership between the foundation and Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, an anchor institution that has been influencing public policy for several decades.

This report, written by Frontline Solutions and published by the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, records the ways in which 25 nonprofits and coalitions have helped improve their communities through funder-supported organizing, advocacy, and civic engagement. Along with revealing data, the report features compelling stories, interviews with regional leaders, and recommendations for funders.
Southern Bancorp: Revitalizing the Rural South (Partners in Progress)
Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation commissioned our team and a native Arkansan to write this report about the foundation's 25-year relationship with Southern Bancorp, the country's largest rural Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI). The publication is part of a WRF series called Partners in Progress, which is documenting findings about the foundation's longstanding investments.

Building the Bridge, Breaking the Mold
This publication was produced for Twenty-First Century Foundation to help tell the story of the Black Men & Boys Initiative, a multi-issue campaign launched in 2004 to "identify, highlight, and support effective strategies that focus on supporting Black men and boys and to surface new sources of support from individual donors and institutional philanthropy to supplement this effort."

This report documents the iCount Initiative, a partnership between Twenty-first Century Foundation, Thinking Man Consulting, and Frontline Solutions to increase Black male enumeration in the 2010 Census. This report includes a detailed narrative of iCount’s methodology and implementation, strategies, ideas, and challenges articulated by on-the-ground local partners; and recommendations for targeting Black males for the 2020 Census.

This report draws readers into the realities of four men in Southern communities. It uncovers a set of unique insights that no arrangement of stats and figures could accomplish. The result is a vivid portrait of men’s lives, the challenges they face, and the ways in which they lead their communities.
Family Matters Report
To further its agenda of advancing philanthropy in Black communities, the Association of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE) needed an expert analysis of the ways in which society views the African-American family. This report examines the critical issues of foster care, fatherhood, and identity development as they impact that “cornerstone of Black communities.”
Momentum: Sustaining Efforts to Improve Life Outcomes Among African-American Males
This study documents gatherings held across the country to develop ways to address the challenges facing young black men. The report also analyzes opportunities for a coordinated philanthropic response to these issues.
